Supplementary   Material 1. Total nucleic acid and gel-purified gDNA of dictyostelids   obtained from gel electrophoresis using non-autoclaved running buffer. (M) indicates a DNA   ladder.

Supplementary   Material 2. EcoRI digestion of gDNA obtained from gel purification. gDNA (200   ng per lane) was incubated in EcoRI digestion reactions at 37°C   for 2 hr. Controls were performed by replacing the EcoRI enzyme with   ultrapure water. (M) indicates a DNA ladder.

Supplementary Material 3. NGS read quality from gel-purified gDNA of dictyostelid strains. The qualities of paired-end reads of 150 bp from each end were analyzed by FastQC. Total reads for each strains are presented.
